The Faculty of Sharia is established as a learning center that provides high quality education in the disciplines of Islamic law, sharia, Islamic studies and jurisprudence. Under the supervision of well qualified lecturers, the Faculty of Shariah offers a good academic environment where students can explore the scientific knowledge of Islamic law comprehensively oriented to the research and community service.

The Faculty has two Study Programs including:

  1. Islamic Banking
  2. Management of Zakat dan Waqf

Shariah Banking Departement (PS) is established to adress the socio-economic problems with primary objectives to be the scientific development centre in Islamic banking. Accordingly it would possibly produce many important concepts of Islamic banking and build new theory of law relating to the current economic issues. While strategically, the program is expected to be the real solution in fulfilling the minimum requirement of professional human resources in the field of Sharia banking in the country. The graduates are not only equipped with practical skills, but also with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the principles of law in the field of economy.

The program (ZAWA) was established to provide research related to the management of Zakah and Waqf by integrating research and values of pesantren. Through research development in the field of Zakah and Endowments, it is expected to produce graduates of Bachelor in Islamic Economics with special expertise in the field of Zakah management and Endowments.


  • Produce Bachelor of Islamic Economics with special knowledge in the field of management of Zakah and Endowments.
  • Produce research, publication and innovation relating to Zakah management and Endowments.
  • Become the center of development and strengthening of human resources in the field of management of Zakah and Endowments.
  • The realization of independence, transparency and professionalism in the management of study program.
  • Establishment of cooperation in terms of education, research and development of Zakah and Endowments with various institutions from in and outside of the country.

Having Islamic norms generated from special characteristic of pesantren values, the Faculty of Da’wah and Community Development in IPMAFA becomes the professional higher education in the field of da’wah that provide knowledge of community empowerment and competitive skill communication.

The Faculty has two Study Programs:

  1. Development of Islamic Society
  2. Islamic Communication and Broadcasting

Islamic Community Development (PMI) in STAI Mathali’ul Falah is a concentrated program in the field of community development. The existence of this Program is expected to producehuman resources as thinkers, practitioners and social workers who are professionals with a strong concern in social problems. With the provision of knowledge, in either theoretical or practical concept, and a strong basis of pesantren values​​ obtained during the study, the graduates are expected to be well prepared as a companion and assitant as well as an agent towards the global modern changes.

  1. To implement education and teaching in the field of community development through integrated, professional and independent educational system.
  2. To conduct research in community development.
  3. To implement community empowerment.
  4. To realize the Islamic Community Development Program as an educational institution with a culture of good governance.
  5. To enhance cooperation with various parties locally, nationally, and internationally within the framework of the implementation of Tridharma college, particularly in the field of community development.

The objectives:

  1. To produce pious and honorable (Salih – Akrom) graduates who have academic and professional skills in community development.
  2. To produce graduates who have skills and assessment research community development.
  3. To strengthenindependence of assisted
  4. To establish the Islamic Community Development Program as an educational institution which is independent, transparent and professional.
  5. To establish cooperation and networks with local, national, and international institutions.

The program (KPI) is one of the important study program at the Institute of Pesantren Mathali’ul Falah (Ipmafa) which specializes the research, knowledge and developing science and skills in the field of communication and broadcasting technology. The  through mass media for broadcasting of Islam to the society widely Regency of Pati, Central Java. Prodi KPI foster students with the science of Islam and broadcasting communication (broadcasting), both through print and electronic media.


The program provides a strong faculty providing students relevant knowledge applicable to any business career that may include  radio and TV broadcaster, creative designer for preaching program, professional journalist, motivator and trainers of Islamic preaching.

The Faculty of Tarbiyah in IPMAFA was established as a learning center that provides relevant quality education in the field of Arabic learning, early childhood education, madrasah ibtidaiyah and elementary school education. The courses in the faculty are taught by qualified academic staffs with distinctive qualifications and specializations.

In its operation, the Faculty of Tarbiyah has three study programs covering:

  1. Arabic Education
  2. Islamic Early Childhood Education
  3. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education

Arabic Education (PBA) is a study program that is specifically intended to develop Arabic sciences and education. PBA graduates are expected to meet the needs of availability of Arabic professionals.


Become the center of scientific studies and Arabic research education based and the values ​​of pesantren.

  3. To increase competency of practitioner in the Arabic education discipline.

Objectives of PBA:

  1. To produce sholih-akrom scholars with academic and professional capability in the field of Arabic education.
  2. To produce highly qualified scholars with research expertise in the field of education and Arabic study.
  3. To produce scholars with competent ability and professional practice in the field of Arabic education.
  4. To make PBA as an independent, transparent, and professional institution.
  5. To promote cooperation with other leading institutions of local, national and international level.

Islamic Early Childhood Education (PIAUD) is program of study designed to prepare prospective and professional teachers of Early Childhood Education (AUD) in the educational institutions. In addition, the program also equips students with the managerial competency while running AUD institutions in such a professional system.

The curriculum applied in the program is specially designed to achieve such two core competencies and further integrated into scientific knowledge as a common characteristic inherent in Islamic High Education (IHE).

The Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) is to prepare and educate prospective teachers at elementary level (SD / MI). The general objectives of PGMI is to generate the following prospects:

  1. A competent educator in madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elemntary school)
  2. Produces researchers in the field of basic Islamic education
  3. Guardian of Shaleh Akram values
  4. Consultant for basic Islamic education institution
  5. Counselor of MI students
  6. Entrepreneurs in basic education
